Audrey Ochoa is one of Edmontons’ most prolific trombone players. Immersing herself in the world of jazz, pop and world music, Audrey blends together the conventions of each, creating a fresh tapestry of sound. Audrey is a born and raised Edmontonian who has had the opportunity to play with such notables as Tito Nieves, Bobby Allende, Dan Aykroyd, Lew Tebackin and local heroes, Chris Andrew, Tommy Banks and Mike Lent to name a few. Audrey has toured Mexico and Canada and has appeared at numerous festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival. In May Audrey will be releasing her second album "Afterthought" which has been described by Juno Award Winner Hugh Fraser as "...one of the most creative musical statements I can remember...". Audrey will be previewing some music from her new album and revisiting some classic standards and pieces from her previous album, "Trombone and Other Delights" which remained #1 on the !Earshot! charts for numerous weeks.
